Inside B.Neos: Benetti’s Newest Hybrid Addition
Benetti's B.Neos takes a measured approach to modern yachting, prioritising proportion, privacy and liveability over spectacle — and in doing so, redefines what luxury looks like at sea.

When it comes to superyachts in the 40m category, choice is abundant. Volume, performance, and statement profiles are easy to find. What is rarer is a yacht that feels genuinely considered — one that places equal importance on proportion, privacy and everyday liveability.
B.Neos, Benetti’s newest hybrid addition to its fleet, unveiled in Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, answers that brief. Rather than overwhelm at first glance, it reveals itself gradually through balance, materiality and a layout shaped by how owners actually spend their time on board.
The exterior, by renowned sailing yacht designer Malcolm McKeon, carries a restrained, timeless elegance. Clean proportions, long horizontal lines and a sleek silhouette favour harmony over bulk. By reducing technical volumes by 30 per cent – achieved through an optimised engine room – valuable square metres have been reassigned to living areas.

At the stern is the Sea Atrium, a 2.4m-high space framed by floor-to-ceiling glass and additional hull windows. Conceived as an elevated beach club and social hub, teak decking flows uninterrupted from the aft deck into the main saloon, dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior.
With doors open, the aft deck, pool and saloon merge into a single waterfront setting. It’s easy to picture quiet mornings here with a book and coffee, or cocktail evenings with the sea and sunset as a gorgeous backdrop.
Perhaps the most transformative move is the relocation of the wheelhouse forward on the main deck, which frees up the entire upper deck for the owner. The result is a private apartment with 270-degree panoramic views, a feature typically reserved for yachts exceeding 60m, and a rare privilege in this class. An expansive outdoor terrace, complete with dining and occasional tables, becomes an enviable spot for sunrise breakfasts or even the most extraordinary office at sea.

A Residential Sensibility
True to its vision of placing experience at the centre of design, B,Neos’ interiors by Francesca Muzio of FM Architettura reflect a thoughtful, human-centric design that yacht owners and guests will truly appreciate.
Instead of the rigid formality still found on many yachts of this size, Muzio’s approach feels warm and liveable. Light-filled spaces, tactile finishes, and warm materials create an atmosphere closer to a private home than a floating showroom.
The Family Kitchen is a perfect example of this design philosophy. Open and inviting, it encourages informal gatherings — breakfast with the family, a relaxed lunch, or showcooking with friends — without the need for full crew service. For more formal occasions, the dining area can be discreetly separated, maintaining flexibility without compromising on the atmosphere.

Quiet Luxury
Hybrid technology is central to BiNees’ DNA, though its value is felt more than seen. At anchor, the absence of vibration and generator noise transforms the onboard atmosphere.
Conversations flow more easily and the soundtrack reduces to water against the hull and the natural rhythms of the yacht’s surroundings. In Hotel Mode, the yacht can operate solely on battery power for extended periods; up to five hours during the day and eight at night.
Hybrid efficiency follows naturally. Compared to yachts of the same size, B.Neos cuts energy consumption by up to 30 percent, thanks to its purpose-built technical ecosystem.
Onboard technology, too, works quietly, from advanced home automation and high-speed 5G and Starlink connectivity, to smart systems that simplify life on the yacht. An Al-driven operational database, effectively the yacht’s digital ‘brain’, shares live data with Benetti, enabling remote monitoring and predictive maintenance wherever the yacht cruises. For owners, the benefits are simple: confidence and reliability.

Peace of Mind
Beyond the yacht itself, Benetti has also considered the realities of modern ownership. Through its Peace of Mind programme, the shipyard offers a holistic support system that looks after everything from preventive maintenance and extended warranties to crew training via a dedicated academy. It’s a framework designed to protect long-term value while freeing owners from the operational complexities that often accompany yachting at this level.
That sense of completeness extends to Yachtique, Benetti’s interior design and lifestyle division, which approaches delivery as a fully realised experience rather than a handover.

Interiors, accessories, equipment and even lifestyle details are curated and installed before the owner steps on board – from linens and tableware to water toys and finishing touches. The result is a yacht that feels immediately personal, considered and ready to be lived in.
Taken together, these services form Benetti’s Yacht as a Service (YaaS) model: a five-year, fully managed approach that integrates vessel and support into a single, seamless ownership experience.
And in that spirit, B.Neos resists spectacle in favour of substance. It challenges the idea that luxury must announce itself, suggesting instead that modern refinement lies in ease, connection and a yacht that understands how its owners want to live on the water.
